Trolling around the Library of Congress website in preparation for a workshop, I came across this photograph.  It made me wonder about what wounds we heal in ourselves when we tend bees.  We talk about medications, methods of dividing our colonies, nectar flow, harvest…what we don’t always discuss is how, strangely, those teeming, stinging insects “fix” us in ways that don’t always make sense.
